Continued Quiet in the Tropics

We are nearing the end of Hurricane season and things remain quiet in the tropics. No development is expected over the next 2 to 5 days. Water temperatures in the Gulf and central Atlantic are cooling and wind shear in those areas remains strong. That mixed with dry air and troughs coming off the east coast any development remains suppressed. The tropical Atlantic and Caribbean waters remain in the lower 80s but wind shear will increase through the holiday week.
