Tropical Wave Bringing Heavy Rain to Parts of the Caribbean

Now just an area of disorganized showers and storms, the tropical wave impacting parts of the Caribbean is not likely to develop. It will continue to bring heavy rain to Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, Leeward islands and Virgin Islands. Strong upper level winds from an area of low pressure coupled with land interaction will keep the wave from organizing. Over the next day or so, it will turn northwest spreading rain over the Turks & Caicos and southeastern Bahamas. The cold front moving through the Bay area will steer what is left of the wave away from the U.S. later this week.
