Monitoring a Disturbance in the Atlantic

A well defined area of low pressure with limited shower activity remains in the open Atlantic. Right now, it is not tropical in nature, but it could become more tropical or sub-tropical over the next few days. It will remain over warmer waters tracking southwestward before moving back northeast through Tuesday.

Disturbance in Open Atlantic, Not a Threat to Florida

A low pressure system has developed in the open Atlantic with limited shower activity. It poses no threat to Florida right now and only hasĀ a 20% chance of development over the next 5 days. As it moves southwest into warmer water, it may become more tropical or subtropical.
