The tropics are pretty quiet right now. There are a few tropical waves but development isn’t likely.

There is a tropical wave in the western Caribbean. This area has light wind shear but moisture is lacking. It will bring rain to parts of Central America.

This time of year conditions in the Atlantic typically aren’t favorable for development. We are monitoring 2 tropical waves here, but they are running into stronger wind shear.

The National Hurricane Center is not expecting tropical development for the next 5 days.
