Beryl is now a subtropical storm with 40 mph winds. It has become embedded in an upper low which is holding it over the warm Gulf Stream waters. The low may hold Beryl over the warm waters a little longer, delaying its weakening into a remnant low.

Once it slowly moves northeast over the colder Atlantic waters it will weaken into a remnant low. What is left of Beryl heads toward Newfoundland on Tuesday.
