We are currently monitoring one named storm and one disturbance in the Atlantic.

Tropical Storm Fernand has strengthened a small amount today. It is currently passing well east of Bermuda and should become slightly stronger within the next day or so.

Regardless, this storm will stay out to sea and will likely become a post-tropical system by the middle of this week.

Meanwhile, the odds of development for Invest 99L have dropped once again (now at 30%).

99L will be entering an unfavorable environment for development in the central Caribbean by the middle of this week.

If it becomes a tropical storm, Gabrielle would be the next name used from our Atlantic storm naming list.
