Potential Tropical Cyclone Five will likely become Tropical Storm Ernesto before approaching the Leeward Islands on Tuesday.

Tropical storm watches (shown in yellow) are now in effect for many of these islands.

There is strong model agreement that it will stay far east of Florida and strengthen into a hurricane. Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, and the Leeward Islands should carefully monitor the progress of this storm.
