Hurricane Debby makes landfall in Florida’s Big Bend

Hurricane Debby made landfall near Steinhatchee, Florida. The storm’s center moved onshore around 7:00 AM Monday, giving us the official landfall about 5 miles west of the small town of Steinhatchee .

Category 1 Debby made landfall with sustained winds of 80 mph and a minimum pressure of 979 mb.

The storm will continue to bring life-threatening storm surge to the Big Bend with flooding impacts spanning across Florida and the southeast.
