November Storms Since 1980

We are counting down the days until the end of the 2019 Atlantic Hurricane Season, there are just 18 days left. So far, this November has been quiet with no named storms.

Since 1980, there have been 26 named storms. Out of those, only one hit the United States. In 1985, Hurricane Kate made landfall in the Florida Panhandle. Last year, we finished out the season with out any named November storms.

A series of cold fronts continue to move into the Gulf of Mexico, generating high wind shear. At this moment, the National Hurricane Center does expect any tropical development.
