Having lost tropical characteristics, Tropical Storm Chris had its last advisory issued at 11am Thursday. The storm will continue to race past the Canadian Maritimes into the North Atlantic over the next few days.
The remnants of Beryl have been following in Chris’ wake. On Thursday evening that area of disturbed weather was located about 400 miles west-southwest of Bermuda. As this loosely organized area of showers and storms continues to move over the relatively warm waters of the western Atlantic and interacts with a strong upper-level trough over the weekend, there will be a window of opportunity for Beryl to regenerate. The National Hurricane Center currently puts the odds of re-development at 50%.
Regardless of development, this area of interest will stay well east of the U.S. East Coast.
